Market day at NRI Global Discovery School




NRI Market Day is a unique and unprecedented program of its kind, which encouraged entrepreneurship, creativity, planning, buying and selling skills. To promote these skills in the ever-changing competitive environment, it was a practical undertaking for the students of the school.


In an effort to emphasize student-centered learning and the richness of core competencies, the management and students of NRI Global Discovery School instituted a 'syncretic – 2019' as their market day this year. It was a wonderful and unique program where the traditional, culture and rich heritage of India was presented in the most innovative way by many stalls at NRI Haat Bazaar. Its contrast with the New Age


Market Stall showcased the gradual evolution of the market systems. NRI GDS is the first institute to initiate and organize such activity in Bhopal for the last three years.


In this market Grade 1A students made beautiful diyas, Grade 1B children made mirrors, hair bands and 1C children made paper bags. The students of class 2 and 3 made beautiful baskets while the children of class 4 presented colorful clothes through the tie and die activity. Children in classes 5 and 6 beautifully decorated the bottles and displayed handmade colorful artifacts on their stall. The Worli Art Painting, a hallmark of Maharashtra and the country, was presented by a variety of objects by Class 7 students. Children of class 8 made jewelry made of papermashi, thread and clay. Virtual Garden was presented to Class 9 and Plaster of Paris and Balloon Art were presented in an engaging manner by the students of Class 11


The event was inaugurated by Mr. Mayank Bajpayee Panasonic Group and Mr. Vibhanshu Joshi from Child Rights M.P. and was categorically appreciated for its concept and execution. Mr. Subodh Singh, Chairman of NRI Group of Institutes and Ms. Jayashree Singh - Secretary Taramati Education Society etc. visited all the stalls to encouraged the students to live their dreams. Principal Dr. Venu Agarwal welcomed all visitors, parents and the chief guest and extended best wishes to the students.


The dance-song competition, various games and the pony ride absorbed and entertained the visitors a lot in the campus. The winners were also given attractive prizes. On the other hand, various food stalls in the food zone made the NRI market come true.


It was certainly a memorable day for parents and children, when such valuable entrepreneurial skills and business activity was at play through the day.
